SHIPTools

Since 2004 Gradient Blue has been providing software engineering and consulting services to the State Health Insurance Information and Assistance Program (SHIP) network in collaboration with the Health Assistance Partnership (HAP).

Due to the success of initiatives in 2004-2005, Gradient Blue worked with HAP to create a single web-based application called SHIPTools in 2006. SHIPTools is a customizable web-based management system that helps programs collect, capture and calculate national performance reporting, train team members and streamline volunteer management.

In March 2010, ownership of SHIPTools was transferred from the Health Assistance Partnership to Gradient Blue so that the application could continue to evolve to meet the ever-changing needs of the SHIP network. Rachel Gussett-Williams, HAP's former Director of Business Development and co- visionary of SHIPTools is also working with Gradient Blue to continue developing technology solutions tailored to SHIP programmatic needs and the larger aging community.
